Lamps
1)
This project involved making of the lamp on our lamp, to understand the terminologies included into its construction.
My inspiration came out of the wheel shown above.
2)
The lamp was designed as a part of a room and had a theme of the game 'Chess'. Since the picked was the Den, it had to be loud and at the same time playful, a small room where people of all ages could spend good time in.
This is how the pieces look separately. The picture below shows the top most layer with a seating combined with arm rest and back rest. The picture below that shows how the second layer is placed without the first. Since the first layer has the back rest, the second layer does without it. But it contains 2 big drawers for storage.

This project involved making of the lamp on our lamp, to understand the terminologies included into its construction.
My inspiration came out of the wheel shown above.
I tried giving it a more alienated feel by making the use of a simple aluminum tin and some round barbecue sticks which were pierced right into the tin and later painted all silver. The lights were all halogen running along these sticks.

The lamp was designed as a part of a room and had a theme of the game 'Chess'. Since the picked was the Den, it had to be loud and at the same time playful, a small room where people of all ages could spend good time in.
Every piece had to match the theme in some way or the other, and hence came my lamp, which was inspired by the chess piece 'The Pawn'. I used the exact detail of this piece and the color combination of the chess board.
Portable Office Table
The mechanism used was that of a Pop-up book and Jack in the Box. On opening the box, the first things that pops open is the table, then comes the shelves. The chair also springs up with the force of the hydraulics, and finally the screen, which has to be pulled up manually whenever needed.
The office table was meant to contain in a box sized 2.5' x 1.5' x 1'. Using wood, I created this portable table which contains a table, a chair, shelves, and a screen that separates you from the others around you.
Easy to access, transport, and open and close as well.

Coffee Table
Combining substantial design technique along with practicality on the same side, I came up with a centre table for a coffee house.
A zee-shaped coffee table inspired from the alphabet 'Z', was created enhancing not just the appeal part but also incorporated with practicality. An additional stopper on one side has been added to store books or magazines for recreational purposes, and being on tilt, the stopper helps them not to fall out.
the other end serves a purpose of storage where one can put bags inside of leaving them on the floor.
And finally a slider puzzle of a coffee cup just for some fun to keep with the atmosphere of a coffee house.
Outdoor Seating
This is a design of an outdoor multi-functional seating derived from layers. This piece of furniture consists of 3 layers of purpose. Inspiration was taken from a general discussion between me and a few friends.
The first layer is a regular seating with arm rest as well as back rest. The second layer is when inner level of wood is pulled out to either fit with the top layer and form a longer lounge chair or to detach completely as a separate piece and form a second seating altogether. The third and final layer acts like drawers which provides storage for books, magazines, etc.
This is how the pieces look separately. The picture below shows the top most layer with a seating combined with arm rest and back rest. The picture below that shows how the second layer is placed without the first. Since the first layer has the back rest, the second layer does without it. But it contains 2 big drawers for storage.
